
Since the end of June, the purchase of a smartphone or tablet in the European Union has been regulated by a new mandatory labeling system (EPREL), which provides an objective assessment of the environmental performance and sustainability of the device. And it is precisely from the energy label of the Galaxy Z Fold 7, leaked online, that we obtain some interesting information on the next foldable booklet from Samsung a few days before its presentation at the traditional summer Unpacked event .
Certifications that emerged in previous months tell us that the smartphone’s battery will have a capacity of 4,400 mAh , information that is missing from the label. Which instead informs us that the expected battery life on a single charge is 40 hours and 28 minutes. In addition, the battery is rated for 2,0https://www.google.com/00 charging cycles (maintaining at least 80% of its original capacity).
Also from the label we learn that Galaxy Z Fold 7 has obtained the IP48 certification for water resistance . It must be said that this is no longer the maximum level for foldables: recent models such as the Honor Magic V5 already offer the IP59 certification. In any case, Samsung’s foldable has obtained a perfect score, namely “A”, as regards resistance to falls . The evaluation relating to repairability, however, is average (“C”).
Like all EPREL labels, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 also includes a QR code that, when scanned, links to a page with more details. However, in this case we do not yet find complete information, as is to be expected given that the model has yet to be officially announced.
