Dealerships will get the new look for the SUV in the third quarter of 2025.

The new look for the KIA Sportage will soon be available in Europe after it first came out in South Korea at the end of last year. The car company really needs the SUV because it sells so well. Since it came out in 1993, 7 million units have been sold. Today, the fifth generation gets an important update that adds a number of new features to the look and feel of the interior. We will have to wait a few more months to see the new model on the roads of the Old Continent, though.
OUTSIDE AND INSIDE

The KIA Sportage facelift made its debut in South Korea, and that’s when the biggest changes in style were made. The car company is still working to make the style match the electric range. It’s clear that the company still follows the “Opposites United” style. The front has been changed with the restyling. It now has vertical light clusters that are more defined, bigger air intakes, and a new grille. The front and rear bumpers have also been changed. People who buy the new KIA Sportage 2025 will be able to choose between 17, 18, and 19-inch wheels. The GT-Line will have special 18 and 19-inch wheels. The trunk has 587 liters of space, but if you fold down the backrests of the rear seats, it can hold up to 1,776 liters.

The carmaker has also added new features to the passenger compartment to make it feel even better. The steering wheel now has two spokes, and the dashboard gets some updates, such as thinner air vents. Also, you can get new upholstery for the seats, and for the GT Line version only, the inside is black and white. KIA uses eco-friendly materials for the upholstery in its new Sportage 2025. For example, the Dinamica fabric is made from recycled materials.
There is a lot of technology, of course. The Connected Car Navigation Cockpit (CCnC) takes up most of the dashboard. It has two 12.3-inch curved panoramic displays, one for the digital instrumentation and the other for the infotainment system. A head-up display may also be available, depending on the trim. Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto have made connectivity and on-board options even better. Instead, KIA Connect and OTA updates let you check the status of the vehicle’s locks, plan routes, and more. Drivers can add arcade games, YouTube, and other streaming services to the Sportage’s Feature-on-Demand (FOD) platform. The 360-degree Surround-View Monitor with 3D view also gives you a bird’s-eye view of what’s around the car. It also comes with a standard wireless charging pad for smartphones.
ENGINES

There weren’t any specific details given about the engines, so they will probably stay the same as they are now, with electric options. Is the LPG version still going to be sold in Italy? In a few months, we’ll know. It’s clear that there is a full set of ADAS systems that can help you get to Level 2 driving assistance.
I GET THERE

The new Sportage will be made at KIA’s factory in Zilina, Slovakia, and the models are expected to be in stores by the third quarter of 2025. Prices will be announced in each European market closer to the date when the items go on sale. Only to remind you as well, the current model in Italy expenses 34,500 euros.
